The largest fresh water reservoir in the Balkans, Skadar Lake spans the territory ot two countries, Montenegro and Albania, and is a very important historical and natural centre for Montenegro. The lake is well known for its diverse flora i fauna, characterized by diversity of natural  habitats and food chains in one place.
